Great weather persisted today bringing me out for another afternoon walk by the Arkansas River. The most active wildlife today were Northern Flickers and Mule Deer. I can report that there are definitely two Osprey on duty at Lake Pueblo State Park. Pictured here is one of them having its evening meal on one of the (too) many power poles in the park. The other one watched from afar – perched on the nesting box. It isn’t the greatest shot but not too bad for at least 300ft distant. Today’s featured image is a group of Mule Deer heading into the woods for an evening of munching and gossip. This evening I did manage to find a Great Horned Owl perched well up in a cottonwood. It refused to smile.
