Not so much activity out on the trail this morning. Osprey were spending the majority of my walk circling high up in the sky. Today’s featured Osprey held me at the fishing pond – watching it perched above the pond – until it decided to leave instead of treating me to a plunge. I can’t tell if that is a smirk on its face or not. I was hoping for something “new” for today’s post and got my wish with a pair of Black-necked Stilts (one pictured here) who, I’m sure, are just passing through. The photo at the bottom of this post is a Cooper’s Hawk who zoomed down to the ground not far from me but then looked rather disappointed with what s/he found.
