6:10 found us on the trail this morning with clear skies and a pleasant 55 degree temperature.

The Anticline Fishing Pond was bare of any Osprey fisherman upon our arrival. Could be they are having better luck elsewhere or maybe they have completely emptied the pond of fish. I did manage to get some photos today though none will be award winners as all had subjects who kept their distance forcing me to heavily crop the images. One is especially exciting for me because it is of a bird I have not seen before in person. This newcomer is a Hooded Oriole seen in the photo gallery below. I did get one nice shot of a Mule Deer grazing on the North bank of the Arkansas river.

Sightings:
Birds: Starlings, Robin, Swallows, Barn Swallow, Ducks, Osprey, Cormorants, Canada Geese, Kingbirds, Red-tail Hawk, Bullock’s Oriole, Hooded Oriole, Great Blue Heron
Critters: Mule Deer, Cottontail Rabbit
