Not much new to report after today’s walk. Both sets of hawk nests remain hawklet free with only the Red-tailed nest being monitored. In fact, I couldn’t tell you if the attending adult had even moved since yesterday. The featured image (above) is an Osprey starting a dive into the Anticline Fishing Pond that it never finished – pulling up at the last second and flying off. Pictured here is what is probably a Downy Woodpecker, at least, that’s what Google thinks. I also got a shot of a young Starling peering out of its nest at the big wide world. I’m ending today’s post with a couple of morning scenic shots – mostly because trees don’t fly away.
