I finally managed to spot one of the adult Cooper’s Hawks and so awarded it featured image status. That means that both hawk nests had adult supervision today but still not much to supervise. It has to happen sooner or later. Also making an appearance was an American Kestrel – I think a female. She was posted up high as usual but not far from a perched Osprey. That picture didn’t come out. The Mule Deer were pretty busy this morning and I spotted at least two young bucks with their horns starting to fill in. None of the deer have successfully transitioned to their Summer coats and still look kind of sloppy. There was only a single Mallard drake on the Arkansas River.
