The Red-tailed Hawk nestling – pretty sure there is only one – was busy this morning trying out those wings. This landed it in the featured image slot. I’m surprised at how large it is considering that I have been watching the nest closely and had no idea anything had hatched. Still no action at the Cooper’s Hawk nest. Mid-post I have another Yellow-breasted Chat who was not at all chatty and a Brown-crested Flycatcher who was pretty busy. I hope he gets a lot of mosquitoes. Finishing off the post (and my walk) is an Osprey who either ordered “Small” or couldn’t find a box for its left-overs.
