Environment:
Start Time: 7:10 AM Temperature: 64 degrees Sky: Wildfire haze filtered sunshine.

Maybe the addition of a slight breeze is probably the only thing that could have made walking conditions absolutely perfect this morning. Still not a lot going on as demonstrated by today’s featured image being a Mallard Hen. She was in great light and even flashed a little color so she got top billing. There are still a lot of Wild Sunflowers in bloom and a lot that are totally picked clean by the seed-eaters flapping around the park. I’m still catching glimpses of the Redheaded Woodpeckers though they keep their distance. Yellow Warblers, too, remain elusive. I hope my readers are not getting sick of fishy Osprey and sleeping owl pictures because that is what closes out today’s submission.
