I have to confess that I did come out to Lake Pueblo State Park yesterday but the few captures I got were too pathetic to post – so I skipped the write-up. Sorry. Today things were a bit different. The Ospreys were pretty busy with a couple of them (featured up top) putting on a fabulous aerial display. From my shooting angle it is hard to say if these are both juvenile or adult or a mix – but they were accomplished flyers. The other Osprey pictured here was complaining loudly to another bird that was following it around and being generally annoying. I got a rare sighting of a Red-tailed Hawk who was feeling cheeky with a low pass in hostile territory. Saving (nearly) the best for last I am posting a shot of a Barn Swallow busy hunting breakfast over the Anticline Fishing Pond. Still not the shot I really want but I am getting there!

Sightings:
Birds: Mallards, Canada Geese, Ospreys, Mourning Doves, Killdeer, Blue Jay, Barn Swallows
Critters: Cabbage White Butterflies, Mule Deer, Prairie Dogs, Tree Squirrels, Grasshoppers, Mosquitoes
Gear: Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II, Lumix 100-300mm
