Things got pretty exciting near the end of my walk this morning. After years of trying I finally found myself in close proximity to an Osprey fishing frenzy. I had a clear view of the sky and the river and the four Osprey circling the Arkansas River. It was pretty tough keeping track of everyone and deciding which one to focus on. I got way too many photos to post here so I am featuring the one strike that I got the best shots from. The featured image up top is the bird flipping over and committing to the dive. I got a disappointing picture (out of focus) of the river splash but I followed that with two frames of the soggy bird rising out of the river water. Sadly, for the Osprey, no fish was available to join it in the trip skyward. I hope we both have better luck next time.
