Environment:
Start Time: 8:35 AM Temperature: 46 degrees Sky: Bright sunshine.

The last couple of sunny days have done a lot to rid the trails at Lake Pueblo State Park of snow and ice. I would complain (again) about the sparsity of birds if I hadn’t seen my first American Bald Eagle (juvenile) of the season. It was perched way off the trail and very high up as today’s featured image demonstrates. The closest shot I got is at the bottom of this post. Other than Baldy the Arkansas River provided my only other subjects a gull and a mallard drake. I hope more eagles show up to make Winter more exciting.
