Fantastic conditions greeted me this morning out at Lake Pueblo State Park. No clouds and no breeze made for super comfortable walking. Duck traffic is starting to pick up on and above the Arkansas River. Pictured here are a couple of Wood Ducks passing by. Featured today is an Osprey who had a really nice catch but was struggling a little to gain altitude with the heavy load. Things remain sedate in the Great Horned Owl’s nest. I hope something happens soon. Closing things out are a pair of American Kestrels who were perched about as high up as they could hoping to spot something tasty way down on the ground.
