Things seem to have held up well at Lake Pueblo State Park after the last few days of dangerously high winds. I was only able to see one newly fallen tree. I’m happy to report that the Great Horned Owl, nest and babies came through with flying colors. The Osprey were very busy today trying to grab a bite here and there but not having a lot of success that I could see. A few were actively ripping branches off of the treetops to gather material for nest repairs. Featured today is one of the many Double Crested Cormorants who were paying close attention to the Arkansas River.
