Environment:
Start Time: 6:15 AM Temperature: 55 degrees Sky: Sunny with light haze.
Sunshine continues to be the rule in Rock Canyon. I enjoyed another gorgeous morning complete with a nice variety of birds for me to annoy. Pictured here is a Blue Grosbeak who was adding to the morning’s brightness with its song. The Arkansas River is still running high but ducks are starting to venture out – one mom with some ducklings. I also saw five Great Blue Herons on the river’s edge along with a couple of Spotted Sandpipers. Featured is another shot of the Osprey nest with occupants. The Red-tailed Hawk Eyas is still in its nest but making photography difficult. I also got a shot of a Northern Mockingbird (says Google) which is something I’ve been hoping to get.
