A Mallard Hen won the featured image slot up top because she was flying in focus. I got a good shot of her wing detail, too. pictured here is an Osprey who kept me pinned down for quite a while waiting for it to make a stab at the river. But all it wanted to do was study the current so I headed on downriver. Also along the river were a couple of Belted Kingfishers perching in the foliage. They didn’t hang around long after I showed up. No owls were visible today and the Red-tailed Eyas was still standing in the nest. I’m not posting the shots I get because they are pretty soft and blurry. I only have one “clear” angle and it is pretty far away. I just hope I can get a shot of it flying.
