The three sibling Great Horned Owls were back again today posted up in their favorite tree. One of them is today’s featured image since the other two are getting much better at blending into the scenery. I did get a shot of them but it is mostly feet and feathers. The Ospreys were pretty busy today – pictured here is one deciding to go fishing elsewhere. I also captured a female Belted Kingfisher as she, too, decided not to reveal her fishing techniques to a human photographer. The Arkansas River is still pretty high and fast so I only see Geese and Cormorants out there with the occasional Osprey dropping in. One critter note: I saw my first Mule Deer Fawn of the year. It was a pretty good size so I guess Mom felt comfortable bringing it out in the open. Good parenting.
