Environment:

An eighty degree initial temperature made for a short trip for me this morning. I found my Great Horned Owls perching on a fallen tree in the wildfire damaged area by the Osprey Picnic Area. Lately they have been preferring the lower perches. They are today’s featured image. Pictured here is one of the many young Osprey who are now flying all over the park. this one is perched not far from the nest – also on a fallen tree. I finally spotted an Ornate Tree Lizard on the tree stump near the river bend. I was starting to worry that the Kestrels had finished them off.
