Environment:
Start Time: 8:40 AM Temperature: 30 degrees Sky: Bright Sunshine wicked cold wind.
About a quarter of the way through my walk this morning the wind hit hard and fast (and cold). But I kept going – threatening the whole time cut things short. Not many other people were out and, of course, bird activity was low – except for the hawks who were riding the wind high up in the sky. Still I managed to spot a European Starling adult poking its head out of the nest and a couple of Wood Ducks cruising the Arkansas River. I also caught an Osprey having a pretty bad hair day – today’s featured image. I did catch one Red-tailed Hawk (below) who was low enough to capture.
