Environment:
Start Time: 5:15 PM Temperature: 55 degrees Sky: Sunny with a slight breeze.
Once again, I passed on a morning walk and headed out for an afternoon stroll. The thirty degree temperature difference had a lot to do with that. The afternoon warmth didn’t seem to have the same allure for the birds, though. Today’s featured image is a shot of a Great Horned Owl tucked deeply in the tree branches doing its best not to be seen. The same owl from a different angle is also shown here. And I got another Osprey eating a fish – one of these days I’ll get to see the real action. The bottom of today’s post is another Kestrel couple. They were perched on top of a dead tree that was used last year as a nest so maybe there will be an encore this year.
