Prunus Americana in bloom at Lake Pueblo State Park, Colorado

Walking today would have been perfect except to the breeze zooming in from the East which packed a considerable chill. But the birds seemed unconcerned and were going about their business as usual. The osprey were active again today – not with nesting – but with fishing. The gallery below is a series of an Osprey hovering over the Arkansas River trying to spot his breakfast. He (unisex “He”) had made several unsuccessful attempts before I finally got there and while he was lining up a third attempt I think he saw me and decided to try his luck elsewhere. Today’s featured image is of a bunch of Swallows swarming over the river. I’m not sure how I will do it but my goal this season is to get a shot of a (single) Swallow in flight. Things are starting to bloom at last. I have posted here what I believe to be Prunus Americana.
