Everything was calm this morning pretty much everywhere. The baby owls were poking around the nest while Mom sat on a ledge trying to sleep. What I believe to be the Red-tailed Hawk nest was unattended. I did capture an adult Cooper’s Hawk looking around the area where they have nested over the past two or three seasons. Maybe there is a nest over there again. Featured is a group of Mule Deer approaching the Arkansas River. They eventually made a crossing and continued on their way. I saw one Osprey make a couple of fishing attempts on the Anticline Fishing Pond but it came up empty taloned both times. Those Osprey collecting nesting materials were having better luck.
