You read that right – Fifty Four degrees. When Spring takes hold it doesn’t mess around. Pictured here is one of the early bloomers at the park which Google identifies as Corokia Catoneaster. Is Google ever wrong? Featured is a Double Crested Cormorant working the Anticline Fishing Pond in the early hours. I think the white crests and the glowing blue eyes are all part of its breeding Plumage. The baby owls remain nest bound doing their marshmallow impressions. I also got to try my hand at shooting some early morning Osprey fishing action. I’m closing this post with the “best” shot of the day. I know it is pretty crappy but for a hand-held 400mm attempt at 1/125th of a second I’m willing to cut myself a little slack.
