As the days grow longer and warmer I will be arriving at the park earlier and earlier on the days that I do go. Today we made it there by 8 with 47 degree temperature. Another pretty routine walk ensued.
There are two highlights worthy of note. First I got my first 2020 sighting of a Nuthatch and probably the best photo of such a bird I have ever made. Also today marks the return of a pair of Barn Swallows to their (ancestral?) home under the eves of an informational display at the Anticline Fishing Pond at the park. It just wouldn’t be Spring without them.
