Black-capped Chickadee at Lake Pueblo State Park, Colorado

Perfect morning. The temperature was only a couple of degrees higher than yesterday but it seemed much warmer owing to the complete lack of moving air. The Osprey were very active today – I caught one making a dive for some breakfast (below) and I saw another one picking sticks off the tops of trees. A Black-capped Chickadee stopped to serenade me for a while. Today’s featured image is a Mule Deer doe who was browsing near the Arkansas River and keeping a close eye on me. I think I have located an actual Wood Duck nest and caught mamma duck checking in.
