Environment:
Start Time: 7:50 AM Temperature: 52 degrees Sky: Sunshine in a clear blue sky.

Perfect weather doesn’t always translate into fabulous bird photography. Today’s captures are pretty much all long shots that need to be cropped heavily. The Osprey are still refusing to fish in my presence so I just get to shoot at them as they fly by – today’s featured image. Pictured here is the female American Kestrel who was getting some air a short way away from the nest. I only saw one baby owl for sure. The good news is that some of the more colorful birds are starting to make appearances – but they are pretty small so even when I am close they require cropped images.
