A particularly warm night allowed us to set out at 7:45 with a 54 degree temperature. Plenty of sun and a few clouds in the sky for decoration. There was a great deal of bird chatter this morning but no really sensational or unusual sightings.
Photographically not a banner day. I did get a long shot of an Osprey perching in the distance with his rather large catch. The distance made for disappointing results as you can see in the photo below. I also got over to the site of the Heron nests and found one of them to be occupied. However my attempts to sneak closer only resulted in the great bird sailing off into the morning. Maybe tomorrow.
