Environment:
Start Time: 7:15 AM Temperature: 64 degrees Sky: Pretty cloudy.
My hopes that the Sun would come out strong and burn the morning clouds away were dashed this morning as the clouds persisted. Things were pretty gloomy out on the trail. Like the sunshine, photo opportunities were limited. I caught the Osprey pictured here drying out high up in a tree. I spent a little time with a male Downy Woodpecker chewing on what Google says is Great Mullein. This guy got the featured slot and a bonus posting below. I was wondering where all the Blackbirds were when I stumbled upon a large group of them munching on Sunflowers by the Arkansas River. One of the males sat still long enough for the capture at the bottom of this post.
