Environment:
Start Time: 7:05 AM Temperature: 60 degrees Sky: Scattered Clouds, light breeze

I decided on a change of pace this morning once I saw the sky. It was full of well defined fluffy white clouds which made me want to shoot more scenic pictures. So I put my vintage Olympus Zuiko 14-54mm zoom (a lens I have yet to write up in this blog) on the Panasonic GX-85 and went looking for scenery. What I settled on was not exactly what you think about when the word “scenery” comes up. I went to the Osprey Picnic Area on the eastern edge of Lake Pueblo State Park which is an area that was damaged heavily in the 2018 Stonemoor fire over two years ago. As you can see in the gallery below the area is having a hard time bouncing back. There are still a lot of damaged trees that the forest managers are slowly clearing. As you can see there is a long way to go.

The featured image for the day is of a stand of fire damaged trees in the Osprey Picnic Area on the east side of the park. This area was heavily damaged in the 2018 Stonemoor fire. After two years the area is slowly coming back to life.
