Environment:
Start Time: 7:20 AM Temperature: 65 degrees Sky: Sunshine, some clouds and no breeze.

We lucked out this morning – really no noticeable wildfire haze. You could see the few fluffy white clouds in the sky, the Wet Mountains and Pikes Peak. Excellent walking conditions (though a little breeze would have been appreciated.) The most visible birds were the Osprey who all seem to have picked a favorite perch of late and were all on station this morning. I’ve seen a couple of them checking out the Arkansas River (posted) but none of them seem tempted enough to try their luck with a quick strike. Today’s featured image is another shot of an Orange Sulphur butterfly working on a Wild Sunflower by the fishing pond. I also caught a Monarch butterfly working the river bank. The closing shot for today is another early morning scenic – this time the Anticline Fishing Pond reflecting its surroundings.
