I have decided to give my HSC readers a break from Ospreys today so that some of the other birds can get a little love. If you want to see today’s Osprey picture you will have to check them out on my Instagram post (jdbaok). One non-bird flier got to be the featured image today – I caught a Monarch Butterfly decorating a Wild Sunflower. There weren’t a lot of people out today (I only saw one bicycle) so several of the shyer species were out. Pictured center post are a Great Blue Heron (standing in the wrong light) and a Belted Kingfisher. At the bottom of the post is a group of five Wild Turkeys who were working late out on the prairie.
