Common Grackle at Lake Pueblo State Park, Colorado

The Osprey were busy again today. One of them did a little fishing and did it in a location that I could not see. He got his fish I got to watch him fly away with it. Another Osprey was very actively breaking dead branches from the tops of trees. The mini-gallery at the post bottom shows a couple of shots of this activity and I am still puzzled as to why nests are being worked on this late in the season. Pictured here is a Common Grackle letting the morning sunlight pop the colors in its plumage. The featured image up top is a Great Horned Owl not exposing itself to that same morning light. I also caught some White-tailed Deer grazing the Osprey Picnic Area, though I only managed one shot of a fawn.
