I decided on an afternoon walk today after my phone’s weather app told me it would be “Sunny”. That was mostly right but a heavy cloud bank in the southwest muffled the light for the second half of my walk. Really wasn’t a problem as there was not much to shoot. I did see one of the juvenile Bald Eagles but it was positioned such that the only clear shot would have been from the middle of the river. I stayed dry. The Red-tailed Hawk I saw was circling high up in the sky. Today’s featured image (above) is a Mule Deer doe whom I spotted resting in a shaded wood. Below are a couple of shots of a Northern Flicker perching and anti-perching. Kind of a mellow day.
