There was no plan for me to go out to Lake Pueblo State Park today. Weather forecasters were predicting afternoon winds and the morning was cloudy and cool. But long about 2 PM the Sun popped out and there was no trace of the rumored wind. Arctic cold is predicted for the next three days so I headed out to see what there was to see. As it turned out things were pretty mellow and, like yesterday, my sunshine was swallowed up by a cloud bank halfway through my walk. I did manage to get two different poses of (probably) the same Juvenile Bald Eagle and some Common Goldeneye ducks were enjoying the Arkansas River – today’s featured image. But the real surprise was the appearance for a Red-winged Blackbird! Looks like Spring is on the way.
