What a difference a day makes! We were greeted today by a very comfortable 62 degrees with only a slight breeze. Only intermittent sun this morning created by the mostly cloudy sky.

The day was so nice that no birds felt like being photographed. Actually not many even wanted to be seen. I saw a number of Mule Deer and the image below is one of them, a young buck. I also saw my favorite doe (I call her Notch) grazing in the weeds where it was not possible to get a useful photo. I did say hello as I passed by. The really big news from today’s outing is that on the way out of the park I spotted an Osprey nest just a short distance from the main parking lot for the Anticline Fishing Pond. I plan to check that out on my next visit.

Today’s featured image (above) is a scenic view of Liberty Point taken from and through the fire damaged area of the Osprey Picnic Area on the Eastern edge of the park. This area is really not recovering well and the park managers are doing a lot of tree clearing and bull-dozing to try to get the area back in shape.
