My hope was that all the recent rain in the area helped the hawk eggs to hatch. No such luck. The Cooper’s Hawk nest is still quiet but I did catch a Juvenile Cooper’s hanging out near the nest. Not sure what the story is here. Mama Red-tailed Hawk (I assume) is keeping close to here basket of joy but she must be getting bored. An Osprey was perched over the Anticline Fishing Pond when I arrived and it was still there when I left. For the featured image today I offer a(nother) Bullock’s Oriole. This bird was really going after the Russian Olive blossoms with great gusto. To finish off today’s post are a couple of clumps of blooming wildflowers that are adding a little color (white) to the trails. I guess Summer isn’t far off.
