Not a lot going on at Lake Pueblo State Park early this morning. Another good day in terms of seeing and hearing birds but not so great in the photography department. I saw quite a few Osprey flying around – I have posted one photo here of a pair who seemed to be in some kind of chase activity. Don’t know if it was for fun or not. A pretty good sized group of Mule Deer turned up which was nice to see – I think that all the recent rain is providing abundant food further out in the prairie so they have been spending more time out there. My only other bird subject is today’s featured image – a Mississippi Kite fluffing his feathers high up in a tree. I’d really like to find its nest but so far I have not seen it.
