Things are still a bit chilly out on the trails of Rock Canyon – today thanks to a stiff breeze. Featured is what Google and I think is an American Beaver. I watched it for a while until it dived down into the river never to resurface. I did confirm that last year’s Cooper’s Hawk nest is in use again this year. I got a shot of an adult (female?) in the nest. Mother Great Horned Owl was fidgeting in her nest as well. Both nests are pictured here. Osprey activity was pretty subdued this morning with the pairs of birds sticking around their chosen nests – three of which I have located.
