Cooler temps did not hold me up this morning, I’m not sure why. Arriving at 6:45 with the temperature of 42 (10 degrees cooler than yesterday) with only a slight wind giving the effect of a slightly warmer morning. Most of the birds appear to have slept in. The majority of my bird sightings were from the driver’s seat of my car either coming or going from the park.

Today’s image is of the once Super Moon hovering over one of the many dead trees in the park. Any bird sightings I claim were fleeting at best (except for the Canada Geese.) I have been expecting to see an Egret or two and possibly a Western Grebe but they have thus far made no appearances.

Sightings:
Birds: Osprey, Starlings, Canada Geese, Red-winged Blackbird, Robins, Swallows, Tropical Kingbirds, Kestrel, Barn Swallow, Mallard Ducks, Western Meadowlark (I am beginning to think this might be an Eastern Meadowlark), Turkey
Critters: Mule Deer.
