Finally a dry, Sunny morning. I was starting to think I should start building an Ark. Lake Pueblo State Park (Rock Canyon, anyway) seems to have come through pretty well with only a few remaining puddles and a good amount of mud. The rain is bringing out the wildflower blooms which is today’s featured image with a Mule Deer doe thrown in for good measure. The swallows are back over the Arkansas River in good numbers. Pictured here is a Violet-green Swallow in flight. One of the best captures of this bird I have ever made. This is the first post in a long time that I have no Great Horned Owls to show off. The nest was empty – as was the Cooper’s Hawk nest. Mother Red-tail was still sitting patiently in her nest which must be boring with no Internet.
