There were a number of Goose Family excursions out on the Arkansas River this morning – one of which is today’s featured image up top. The river was running kind of fast so I was surprised to see the little ones out there. I guess they have to learn sooner or later. I did get a little Osprey action today. I missed the dive shot, again, but I got a good splash (below) so, progress. Pictured here is one of many Eastern Kingbirds that were out this morning feasting on the many flying bugs. There were many Western Kingbirds doing the exact same thing as well. Not so many Swallows as I was hoping for.

Sightings:
Birds: Mallards, Western Kingbirds, Eastern Kingbirds, Double Crested Cormorants, Great Blue Herons, Starlings, Ospreys, Canada Geese, Doves, Quail, Blue Jays, Barn Swallows, Bullock’s Orioles, Common Grackles, Red-winged Blackbirds
Critters: Cabbage White Butterflies, Prairie Dogs
