Began walking this morning around 7ish. I forgot to check the temperature upon arrival but it is safe to say it was in the mid fifties. More bird activity today with some more cooperative subjects. Just as we got out of the car to start out I had to dodge a scramble of three Bullock’s Orioles who seemed to be in an intense discussion of some type.

The highlight for today’s tour came at the Starling nest that I have been keeping an eye on all Spring. I managed to catch one of the adult birds flying up to the nest. The bird did not stay long and when it left a baby Starling stuck its head out of the opening to look for my chow I’m sure. The photos came out pretty well as you can see below.

Birds: Starlings, Canada Geese, Robins, Swallows, Mallard Ducks, Kingbirds, Osprey, Bullock’s Oriole, Western Meadowlark, Flicker
Critters: Cottontail Rabbit
