Great Blue Heron at Lake Pueblo State Park, Colorado

I think we are done with the rain for awhile. Not that I’m not grateful for the much needed moisture – I just wish we weren’t getting it all in one shot. Today was another walk a little, avoid another puddle, walk some more kind of outing. Along with the rain comes some very high water in the Arkansas River. So high, in fact, that I saw no waterfowl out in the river proper. Even the Great Blue Heron pictured here was spending its time at the fishing pond. Today’s featured image is another Osprey with fish shot – I always manage to miss the real action.
