Chilly again this morning at Lake Pueblo State Park. Still a good day for walking by the river. Animal activity, though still low, is starting to pick up. I spotted what I am pretty sure was a Hooded Merganser and there was another new duck that I couldn’t identify. I shot today’s featured image just as I arrived for my walk. It demonstrates how the local wildlife is becoming (too) comfortable with the human visitors at the park. Still, it’s kind of funny. The two pictures posted below are also kind of funny. The first one is of tree that, at first glance, looks like an American Kestrel perched and ready to pounce. The second image is a blow-up of the Kestrel which reveals the truth. This tree has fooled me more than once.
