Environment:
Start Time: 8:10 AM Temperature: 46 degrees Sky: Wildfire haze filtered sunshine

Nice and crisp this morning under a cloudless sky. The horizons all around were orange tinged with wildfire haze but the upper levels were a definite blue. Pikes Peak was not visible as I drove into the park. Though many birds were visible, today’s group had an uncanny knack for landing on branches behind other branches that obscured my view of them. It happened so often that it simply had to be intentional. I have been hoping to get a shot of a Tarantula over the last couple of outings since this is the “Migration” season where all the tarantulas go scouting for mates. But it is hard to spot them when you are always looking at the trees for birds. Today’s featured image is one of the hairy critters that I shot last year after Whisper pointed it out to me.
