Autumn is starting to get into gear at Lake Pueblo State Park. The leaves are remaining stubbornly green but some of the Fall/Winter visitors are starting to arrive. Featured is a Hooded Merganser – I’m not sure if this is a juvenile or an adult (female?) but I have two sources confirming the ID. I only saw one of these. Also spotted were a Townsend’s Solitaire and two Dark-eyed Juncos. Surprisingly, I saw two Osprey still working the river – one pictured below having some success. Pictured here is a Mule Deer Doe stepping out of the brush to have a look at the Arkansas River.
