Environment:
Start Time: 9:10 AM Temperature: 53 degrees Sky: Sunny, no clouds, noticeable breeze
A surprisingly warm morning got me out of the house early today. Another cloudless sunny day. The recent cold weather has pretty much stamped out the color from the leaves rendering them all a rusty brown. With scenic shots, therefore not a real option, I am back focusing on wildlife. And the wildlife is focused on staying well out of range. My two successes of the outing are today’s featured image of a Red-Tailed Hawk (who was perched well up in the trees) and the image below of a White-Crowned Sparrow. The fishing pond is still playing host to the Western Grebe who is content to stay well out in the middle. I have yet to see an Eagle.
Sightings:
Birds: Gulls, Mallard Ducks, White-Crowned Sparrows, Starlings, Red-Tailed Hawk, Western Grebe, Dark-Eyed Juncos, Belted Kingfisher, White-Breasted Nuthatch, Flicker
Critters: Mule Deer
Gear: Lumix GX-85, 100-300 mm
