Summer Shows Signs of Surrender to Fall

We arrived a little late again this morning to an environment that was an absolute clone of yesterday. The only difference was a little more bird activity. The Osprey were out in force gliding up and down the Arkansas River looking for fish and making darn sure they were out of my range. There were a couple of Belted Kingfishers also working the far side of the river. One of the photographic prizes that has eluded me these past eight years is a shot of a Kingfisher in flight. Today was not the day, either. But the walking was great and I ended up shooting some more Summer scenes. One of those below shows the hint of Autumn creeping in as the leaves are starting to turn from rich green to vibrant yellow.

Sightings:
Birds: Canada Geese, Starlings, Robbins, Osprey, Belted Kingfisher, Mallard Ducks, Crows, Turkey Vulture, Red-tailed Hawk
Critters: Mule Deer

Gear: Lumix GX-85, 45-150mm
