Check out last year’s walk on this day!

Common Sandpiper at Lake Pueblo State Park, Colorado

Not much action again this morning. I’m seeing fewer and fewer Ospreys. Same thing for Cormorants. I think folks are headed South. One of the few Osprey that I did see won the honor of being the featured image. It was flying around hauling a huge tangle of river gunk. I didn’t see a fish in there at all. I’m not sure if he was hauling it on purpose or if the load was tangled around its feet. I will probably never know. The other bird that I managed to capture (from a good distance) was what Google has identified as a Common Sandpiper. And that is all the news that fit to print for today.

Sightings:
Birds: Mallards, Osprey, Double Crested Cormorants, Canada Geese, Starlings, Mourning Dove, Great Blue Heron, Common Grackles, Common Sandpiper, Killdeer
Critters: Prairie Dogs, Mule Deer

Gear: Nikon D5600, 55-300mm
