Some early morning wind kept me home a little while but I finally made it out to the park. Today featured some cooler temperatures with only slightly stiffer breezes. Excitement continues to elude me. One Osprey was actively scanning the Arkansas River but we could not agree on where was the best place to do a little fishing. My choices were always vetoed from above. I did get a long (long) shot of an Osprey dining on its catch – if you look closely you can sort of make out a fish shape on the tree branch. Grackles and Red-winged Blackbirds were the only marginally cooperative birds out today. For the featured image (above) I offer a Summer scene with a Mule Deer doe trying hard to blend in. She is doing a pretty good job.
