Environment:Start Time: 4:40 PM Temperature: 59 degrees Sky: More clouds than Sun with persistent breeze. Winter’s last full day turned out a little better than I expected. What started as an unremarkable walk ended with a bang when I spotted an Osprey perched over the Arkansas River which he was studying intently. He was a little soggy from what I assume was an unsuccessful fishing trip but apparently undaunted. In total I saw three Osprey which ins enough for me to declare Osprey Season officially open. I decided to chance a little mud on my shoes and tromped out for a better shot. Fortunately this bird is not the skittish type and patiently waited for me to find a nice clear view.
