Environment:Start Time: 8:30 AM Temperature: 39 degrees Sky: Sunshine. I took a stab at a morning tour of Lake Pueblo State park today. The Bald Eagles I was hoping to find did not show up. On the smaller end of the bird spectrum a bunch of American Bushtits did appear and this one paused long enough for me to make a capture. Environment:Start Time: 6:55 AM Temperature: 61 degrees Sky: Wildfire haze filtered sunshine with a few clouds More fuzzy light and oppressive humidity (by Colorado standards) made for an okay outing today. Not too much bird activity on the walk with the best two shots posted here – an American Bushtit in a rare moment of inactivity and a Great Blue Heron (below) staring into the morning Sun. There was some Osprey activity but none of them were fishing – at least not while I was watching. The real excitement of the day happened after I had finished my normal walk….

Environment:Start Time: 7:10 AM Temperature: 62 degrees Sky: Sunshine no clouds with a pleasant breeze Terrific walking weather once again – maybe a bit warm. Lake Pueblo State Park is really greening up. The problem with that is it gives the birds great hiding places. I changed my route a little this morning so I would end up at the Osprey nest by the Swim Beach. Unfortunately no one was home. My only bird capture of the day is posted below – an American Bushtit. Usually these guys are so jumpy it is impossible to photograph them but this one…
